The CP120 packs filled tubes fully automatically into folding cartons. An integrated tube turning station checks the orientation of each tube and automatically turns any incorrectly positioned ones so all tubes arrive correctly aligned at the case packer. Folding cartons are taken from a magazine, separated by a pneumatic suction bar, automatically erected and positioned on a transport belt. The lower flaps are automatically folded and glued. A SCARA robot with vacuum suction gripper picks up the tubes and places them precisely into the waiting cartons. The upper flaps are then automatically folded and the finished carton is glued. All operations are interlocked; in the event of a fault the system stops automatically.
